Students can add to the fun by wearing white or neon outfits on their PE Day. Last year, we saw amazing glow-in-the-dark hair, face paint, and light-up scrunchies—can’t wait to see your creativity this year!

Each class will have two PE sessions of Cosmic activities. Check the schedule for your child’s days. Let’s make this Cosmic Week unforgettable!

Advocacy Update

by Kelly Griswold, PTA Advocacy Chair

Early voting is underway! You can find polling locations and times here.

Below are some resources to help educate yourself, your friends and family who live in Texas around voting for candidates who support public education.

Teach the Vote allows an address to search for candidates based on districts - specifically, people running for Texas House, Texas Senate, and the State Board of Education.

You can also look at candidates with endorsements from Texas Parent PAC, a non-partisan group that endorses Texas candidates who support public education, measured by the group's guiding principles. Texas Parent PAC endorses candidates from both parties, and it's led by public school supporters from both parties.

PROP A

Prop A funding will be used to provide market adjustments across district pay scales. Eligible AISD staff will see individual increases based on their position and years of service relative to others in their pay grade. If Prop A passes, 85% of staff will receive a pay increase.

Have questions about Prop A? You can Text: 512-856-6123 to chat with an AISD representative.

Have questions or want to get involved? Reach out to advocacy@russellleepta.org.
